Beiersdorf Campus

Hamburg, Germany, 2024.

The new Beiersdorf Campus at the heart of Hamburg brings together employees from two locations and now forms the company's central hub for innovation and collaboration. This new building paves the way for further growth, while the expanded research centre provides solid foundations for the future. The campus architecture emphasises sustainability and focusses on employee well-being, while simultaneously creating modern working environments to make the company fit for the future.

The 8,000 square metres are home to various workspaces that meet a wide range of needs. They include cosy lounge nooks, seminar and conference rooms, as well as co-working areas, central areas and an employee restaurant with an outdoor area. The campus provides a multitude of workspaces and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration. The open structure and 4,000 square metres of collaboration space facilitate interaction between global teams and enable flexible working. Employees can choose from 3,200 workspaces, including work cafés, focus boxes and flexible offices. An agile work environment supports both individual freedom and teamwork while also providing optimal conditions for communication, collaboration, concentration and retreat through a diverse range of room configurations.

The room design reflects the corporate values of Beiersdorf through its use of natural materials, warm colours and pleasant haptics, while also creating an inspiring and welcoming atmosphere. At the same time, the architecture provides a contemporary digital infrastructure with a clear focus on sustainability, making the campus a modern and future-oriented working environment. Health measures, a multitude of services such as fitness facilities, healthy catering plus flexible and ergonomic workspaces round off the facilities.

In this case, the total area of 51,000 square metres and modern workspaces create a working environment that rises to the challenge and meets the varied needs of the working world. To support the diverse working requirements, a number of Brunner furnishings have been integrated that can be adapted to suit individual requirements and contribute to a flexible yet functional workplace design.

In the employee restaurant, A-Chair stacking chairs at A-Table folding tables provide a flexible and practical solution for a wide range of requirements. The combination of nate s chairs and versatile 4more tables perfectly complements the furnishing concept and creates a harmonious overall appearance. The modular oval lounge system creates quiet areas in the generously-proportioned staff canteen, which strikes the perfect balance between openness and privacy. The ray table invites social gatherings by offering a generous space for groups of all sizes. crona shell chairs provide the appropriate seating comfort, adding the perfect finishing touch to the ambiance with their modern design and versatility. The employee restaurant isn’t the only place they are used, they also support employee well-being in the crafted work cafés. Employees can interact, develop new ideas or take a short break in a relaxed atmosphere. The fox bar stool also blends in seamlessly with the overall appearance and offers an additional seating option for informal meetings.

The new building focusses on co-working spaces and agile work areas; particular value was placed on functional and flexible furnishings here. Whiteboards and bar stools from the boards series promote dynamic interactions while mobile tables from the team series, bar stools from the nate series and the lift conference table perfectly complement the design flexibility and versatility of the spaces. As such, re-designed work areas that adapt to employee needs at any time are created in the blink of an eye. PARA VERT is also used cleverly to provide subtle separation between the different zones and to bring harmony to the transitions.

crona light bar bar stools and the fina club standing table are used in many different ways in employee rooms. This combination offers the perfect solution for informal gatherings, short meetings or relaxing breaks. While the crona light bar stool invites relaxation through its modern design and comfortable seat, the fina club standing table is the perfect base for spontaneous meetings or shared meal times thanks to its functional height.

In the central areas of the campus, the use of the ray lounge lounge chair, lift side table and oval lounge system create an inviting ambiance with a wide range of possible uses. These areas are ideally suited to informal meetings, creative breaks or exchanging ideas. Ergonomic seating options, practical storage areas and flexible configuration options combine to form a room that promotes both relaxation and communication.

The Brunner furnishings have been carefully coordinated with the colours and materials used throughout the new building and add to the overall wholesome feel of the office and eatery spaces.
