Brunner is celebrating the most successful year in its history.

The Baden-based, family-owned company Brunner, one of the leading companies in the design contract furniture sector in Europe, looks back on 2023 as the most successful business year since it was founded. With a remarkable growth in turnover of more than 10%, the company increased its annual turnover to almost EUR 150 million in 2023.

The driving force: major national and international projects
“Last year was characterised by outstanding national and international project successes,” says founder and managing director Rolf Brunner. These include major contracts for exhibition halls in Barcelona, Zurich, Basel and Cologne plus the VfB Stuttgart stadium. In the New Work and Office sectors, projects have been successfully completed for Continental, Beiersdorf and KPMG plus educational institutions in Würzburg and Heilbronn. And in the CARE sector, Darmstadt District Hospital was a successful major project. “This customer response confirms and reflects our position as an innovation driver and solution provider within the industry,” says Managing Director Philip Brunner.

Investments in digital infrastructure and new products secure a competitive position
At the same time, Brunner has made significant investments in the further development of its infrastructure and the ongoing digitalisation of the company. “These strategic measures ensure that the company is optimally positioned for the future and can further secure and build on its position in the industry,” says Managing Director Dr Marc Brunner.

Thanks to our partners and employees
Brunner’s success story would not have been possible without the exceptional commitment and professional expertise of its employees. “The performance of the entire team has once again been outstanding. We are proud of our team and the achievements of the second generation,” say founders Rolf and Helena Brunner.

Philip Brunner adds: “Special thanks also go to our customers, specialist trade partners and the architects involved in our projects. As the world faces challenging times, the breadth of our product range, full of innovative solutions and functional furniture designed to make our customers’ lives easier, has once again proved to be one of the keys to our success. We’re proud to be able to deliver premium-quality solutions tailored to our customers' needs in the office, hotel and catering, large space and events, and health and care sectors.”

An optimistic future
Despite the global and multiple crises, Brunner can look to the future with confidence. The positive development over the past financial year and the investments made lay the foundation for future sustainable growth and innovation.

The balance sheet for the first half of 2024 also looks extremely positive: “We are well on track and will most likely be able to repeat our success from 2023”, says Rolf Brunner. One of the reasons for this is the growing investment in the “trade and events”, “hospitality” and upmarket “hotel and catering sectors”.

“We are continuing to invest heavily in expanding our product portfolio, digitalising our processes and moving forward with sustainability. We are particularly pleased to be able to present new products to our customers at ORGATEC in October again”, concludes Dr Marc Brunner.
