Our latest addition to the Brunner Asia Pacific team.

This week, we welcome our new Sales Lead Singapore , Amelia Chai Mobbs, to our growing team.

Amelia has worked in the industry for over 25 years and gained invaluable experience. We are incredibly excited to welcome Amelia to the Brunner APAC team!


To learn more about Amelia and her motivation to join the team, we asked her some questions about her new position...

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
A: I began my career in the furniture industry more than 2 decades ago, started as a space planner to provide feasible floorplans to end users. I progressed to after-sales customer service before moving to front line sales. Over the years, I have worked for a diverse group of companies that gave me great exposure to both local and international brands. With that, I learned to appreciate the fine craftmanship of well made furniture. I am a strong believer in selling solutions and services and not just a piece of furniture. Holding on to this principle and with my experience and passion, I have built trusting relationships with end users and designers.

Outside the office, I have a daughter, I'm also a mom of a golden retriever, and I am an active trampoline jumper.

Q: How is your experience at Brunner Asia Pacific so far? 
A: I am truly enjoying my 1st month with Brunner. I have had  the privilege to start my first week of work at Brunner Hong Kong and was given the opportunity to celebrate the Hong Kong showroom opening ceremony. It was a fabulous week to connect with colleagues and witness how well Brunner HK is received in the industry.

This is my 1st experience working for a young company. I am amazed how well structured and organized our organization is in such a short time frame. Our support team is the best team in class that I ever come across. We have great leadership and their vision in believing in a good operational setup enables the sales team to stay focused on consultative selling and relationship building.

Q: Is there a specific reason why you want to work for Brunner Asia Pacific?  
A: I came across Brunner when I worked for one of the European furniture manufacturers who used to be a Brunner dealer then. It was love at first sight to me as I have always appreciated fine craftmanship and European design. Another reason is the passion, transparency and trust set by the leadership that I believe is crucial in making work fun and engaging.

Q: As your new position as Sales Lead Singapore, which tasks will you be taking care of?
A: Brunner is a relatively a new setup in Asia Pacific for less than 3 years, I'm responsible to grow the Singaporean market and gain more market awareness to provide top notch customer satisfaction to our clients. The next step will be building a strong sales team in the near future.

Q: What will you be adding to the team?
A:  Over the years, I have built blocks of relationships with clients through consultative selling and have a deep understanding of the market trends and industry developments. With my WELL certification that I attained recently, I am equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to guide and engage with our clients.

Q: Lastly, what is your favorite product of the Brunner portfolio?
A: The ray collection provides endless possibilities and virtually no limits for a wide variety of spaces. The slender, dynamic and elegant ray conference chair is particularly pleasing to me. The seamless transition between frame, seat shell and armrests creates a slim line and minimalistic design that compliments the interior space.
