Brunner Showcases 18 Innovations at Orgatec
Rheinau, Germany, October 2018. By bringing 18 new products from the Office and Public Space divisions to Orgatec in Cologne, which runs from October 23rd to 27th, Brunner will once again prove its ability to create and innovate in a multitude of different ways. The company not only has a myriad of new products to present, but will also use augmented and virtual reality technologies at its stand to give visitors an exciting new digital experience.
Some of the new products on display come from the "summer news" collection, which were actually launched in the middle of this year. These products include highlights such as the crona steel outdoor chair, designed by the Archirivolto design studio. This collection includes other new individual items and also products that supplement existing ranges. "We see Orgatec as the ideal opportunity for every member of the Brunner family (which also includes our workforce) to introduce all our very latest innovations to our customers in one place. It will also enable us to show our visitors exactly who we are in a very tangible manner, by providing physical examples of the values we stand for and our passion for creating furniture that makes innovation possible", stated Dr. Marc Brunner, Brunner's Managing Director.
The company will be presenting these brand new products at this year's Orgatec:
The A-Collection
It all began with the A-chair designed by jehs+laub. Now, there is an entire A-Collection in which every object fuses its identity with the next to form a unified and uniform whole. This is due to the characteristic A shape of the frame, which merges harmoniously and discreetly with any environment. At Orgatec, Brunner will now be presenting an optimized version of the classic A-Chair with plastic armrests integrated in its frame. Two new members of the A-Family will also make their début at Brunner's stand at Orgatec: The upholstered A-Lounge lounge seat with comfortable upholstery, which provides more space and first-class seating comfort, and can be used in numerous different ways. The aluminium and wood frame versions can be used in any combination to create the perfect interior setting. The modular A-Bench system consists of eight different elements. Each of them can be combined with the others, or placed separately, for example in cafeterias, co-working spaces or waiting areas. The intelligently designed, high quality A-Table conference table has been part of the range for quite some time, and still fits perfectly with every chair in this product family.
The ray Collection
The ray high-end conference family is yet another inspired design from jehs+laub. The latest members of the family, ray soft and ray lounge, now open up options for using this collection outside traditional conference situations: hotels, cafeterias, waiting areas and lounges will look all the better for being furnished with these exceptionally ergonomic designer chairs. ray soft has three different heights of seat shell and four different frame designs, which can be combined in a multitude of ways. The ray lounge upholstered easy chair is now also available with a wooden frame.
The crona Collection
Brunner has worked together with the inspirational creativity of the Archirivolto design studio, from Italy, to design the crona collection to push the boundaries of possible component combinations – and, from this summer, not just for use outside: with its parallel flat steel bands and water resistant seat cushion from the kvadrat patio collection, crona steel is the ideal chair for outdoors. With its upholstered plastic shell and artist's palette of colours, the crona light touch armchair is an eye-catching, comfortable addition to any space. The crona light stacking chair looks equally smart, whether placed in a row, stored in a stack or standing on its own. You can combine any of the colours, shapes and bases in every crona model to suit your own individual taste. Using the same design idiom, the crona light bar bar stool has all the very best characteristics for use in bar areas and in the hospitality industry: whether chromed or colour laminated – crona light bar is easy to care for, hygienic and robust.
cellular
In the space-forming cellular furniture system, textile panels enclose lounge furniture and tables. The elements offer quiet and work zones, can be combined well with each other due to the 60-degree conception, and divide open office architectures such as large open spaces, creative islands, co-working spaces.
More new highlights
Brunner, based in Baden, Germany, is also pleased to present its "lift" adjustable height table, which brings together modern design features in a multitude of sizes and shapes to complement today's agile working practices.
The "team" mobile partition wall and presentation system has also been developed with contemporary workspaces in mind: its textile walls can be configured with an attached pinboard or flip chart – and tables, shelving, wall boards and whiteboard panels can be added as required.
Brunner's "fina" bar barstool and matching "fina" club table, with their elegantly angled four-legged oak frames, are a sophisticated solid wood standing table addition to any bar or café. The table tops are also available in robust, hygienic NanoTec laminate.
The "break" standing table or side table is ideal for use in lounge areas and equally at home in bistros and cafeterias. Available in different heights, with table tops in a multitude of different shapes, colours and laminates, "break" tables fit beautifully into almost any interior design.
Our multifunctional "hero" row and stacking chair is now also available with a new plastic seating shell. With its optional row linking device and seat numbering, it can easily cope with the demands of any type of event. Either with or without armrests, upholstered or with a writing tablet, the "hero" will find its place – and be found – anywhere.
New Production Facilities: Innovation Factory
Brunner has developed a master plan for the next 25 years based on a wide-ranging in-depth site investigation carried out by the well-regarded HENN architectural practice. This plan involves the construction of a futuristic new building at the production site in Rheinau, Germany: Building work on the Innovation Factory started in May 2017. Its purpose is to be able to handle the company's continuing growth, with optimised processes, and more space for development, communication, creativity, innovation and production. Daylight will flood through the single storey production area in the building and illuminate the two-storey wing that houses an integrated gallery, cafeteria and the office areas, all of which look down upon the actual assembly lines. The main hall is where chairs and tables are assembled, and where furniture products are stored before being dispatched. Other spaces in the Innovation Factory include offices and the areas dedicated to inspiration and innovation. The glazed partition walls ensure complete transparency throughout the building. The grand opening is planned for the end of 2018.
