Brunner over the years
It all started with an idea.
An idea that lay the foundation stone for the future of Brunner and its employees. A passion for excellent furniture and the willingness to combine innovation and practicality against all odds. This was the primary motivation of Rolf and Helena Brunner from the start and it has since remained that way: We have been seeking out challenges and solving problems, preferably those of the future, since 1977. It will always be that way.
The beginning
1977 - The company is founded by Rolf and Helena Brunner.
Their goal: "To make the impossible possible."
1978 - The first production hall is completed in Rheinau and the company relocates there from Bühl.
1978 - French subsidiary Arro is founded.
1981 - Swiss subsidiary Sedorama is founded.
Continuous growth
1983 - Another warehouse spanning 1,500 square metres is completed.
1984 - IBrunner now employs 70 workers. Revenue climbs to DM 16 million.</p
1996 - The number of employees grows to 200. The production area is expanded to 5,000 square metres.
2003 - Joint venture Brunner UK Ltd. is founded in England
Fit for the present and future
2004 -Dr Marc Brunner, the eldest son of Helena and Rolf Brunner, joins the management team.
2005 - The communication centre is completed.
2010 - Philip and Tina Brunner join the family business.
2013 - Sedorama in Switzerland becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary.
2016 - French subsidiary Arro becomes Brunner SAS.
2017 - Swiss subsidiary Sedorama AG becomes Brunner AG Furniture Solution. Brunner celebrates its 40th anniversary.
The number of employees exceeds 500.
2018 - The new logistics centre and the Innovation Factory in Rheinau are completed.
